Excellent MP3 Jukebox
This is a great unit. Switched from Rio Riot, which just does not compare. 40GB means I don't have to woory about running out of room (I have 19GB on there now). Option for second battery means I won't have to worry about running out of power on the road. Great sound quality. I also love the recording features, which allows me to record streaming radio shows from the Internet and listen to them later in the car. Scroll wheel makes finding things a lot easier. Firewire transfer is quick and easy...

Still great, but there are now some better alternatives
Many reviewers here have said that the software is buggy and/or doesn't work under Windows XP. I have installed and used the software on 3 computers (legally! I promise!) and it works fine. It is not as elegant as some, but it works great for ripping and transferring music from original CDs to the player. The JB3 sounds great, whether through headphones or plugged into an expensive hi-end home stereo. In fact, once you get your cd collection onto the player, you can just plug it into the stereo and...

Creative.... YOU SUCK!!
I remember as soon as I laid eyes on this seemingly magnificant player, I wanted it so bad, I got a part time job and I saved up about 4 weeks worth of pay to get this. The moment I had enough money I went to my local CompUSA to get it, and drove back home. As soon as I franticly tore it out of the package, I did everything the instructions told me to, hook up AC adapter and plug it in the wall, and plug the USB in excetra excetra. Well, the installation took me a few tries because my MP3 player...

Everything I expected
I've owned my Nomad Jukebox for about 2 years now, and it has served me very well. Whereas the Jukebox 2.0 version was unstable, this unit has caused me no problems whatsoever. The sound quality is good, the interface is intuitive, and the thing just keeps working without a hitch. The battery life is pretty good, as well, which is always a point of contention with portables. Overall, I'd really recommend this unit....

for the love of god, don't buy it
Having had my jukebox for 5 months until it absoutely died, leaving me with a large space in my pocket and the loss of music I'd spent hours transferring, I have to say that the fragility of this player absolutely negates any enjoyment you might have while it works. My player was very gently used, it now only boots in Rescue Mode and gives me a 'hard disk problem' message for all functions on that menu. Creative technical support insists that the player must have been dropped (which is apparently...
