No extended warranty for iPod+hp
In December, I got an email from apple offering an extended warranty on my 20gb iPod (hp).When I went to activate it, I got an error message that directed me to hp.HP said they've split with apple & no longer offer a warranty.Then my iPod crashed--so when I asked hp about repairs, they said they don't do them, I should find a repair place on my own.They also suggested I call apple and get a refund on that extended warranty.So I did that, but really had hoped that apple would have worked out something...

I wish there were a NO star choice for HP products
I own a 20G HP ipod...well own is a relative term I think it has spent more time at Hp then with me.I realize this is a different item, but I would like to warn everyone.My original Ipod which I received Dec 2004 broke in March, and was sent back, due to it continually skipping through songs. I received another one from Hp which lasted until...November 2005.That one just crapped out and showed me a file with an exclamation point that meant..the Hard drive had crapped out..so once again I sat on...

40G IPOD IN TROUBLE
MY HP IPOD HAD HARD DRIVE ISSUES 2 MONTHS BEFORE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. THEY SENT ME A NEW ONE, AND 3 MONTHS LATER, THAT BATTERY DIED.NOW THEY WANT ME TO BUY A NEW ONE FROM THEM.THAT WAS A 40G HP IPOD.MAYBE APPLE GIVES BETTER CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.MAYBE THE WHOLE IPOD THING IS A BIG SCAM. A CHEAPER MP3 PLAYER MAY BE THE WAY TO GO PEOPLE. AT LEAST, WHEN IT TANKS YOU CAN BUY ANOTHER ONE WITHOUT GOING BROKE....

Broke after 11 months, hp initially claimed not to support
The hard drive on my ipod is predictably going after about 11 months.It won't boot.In my initial call to HP the representative said they did not support the product.It was just a branding thing.Then I went to the apple store and they said they didn't support.I called back HP at night and got an indian represenative that was very knowledgable and have found the support to be good since then.Apparently I got a bad person on the line.Hopefully HP will ship me a new one.Otherwise I like the IPOD quite...

Died 13 days later
I'm not kidding, I swear to GOD!7 days after I bought it from Circuit City the click wheel froze, I had to reset it by pushing the Select and Menu button.It worked great for the next 6 days...then one fine morning on the Q44 bus, the click wheel nor the select button respond.Naturally I tried to reset it buy resetting as Apple's Manual suggests.The apple logo comes(which is a good sign), then swoosh, the screen goes blank and the apple logo comes on again?(NOT a good sign) And the climax of the...
