The Archos Jukebox Multimedia 20 handheld entertainment center is a 20 GB MP3 jukebox player and recorder that doubles as an external hard drive which, with included attachments, easily becomes a SmartMedia or CompactFlash memory card reader. With the optional camera attachment, the Jukebox Multimedia 20 becomes a 1.3-megapixel digital camera and MP4 video camcorder.
Complete MP3 functionality is included in the Jukebox Multimedia 20, including the ability to record directly to MP3 format from any audio source, or use it as a voice recorder with capacity for up to 1,000 hours recording time using the built-in microphone. Listen to your MP3 tracks with the included headphones, or connect the Jukebox Multimedia 20 to your home stereo with the included audio-video (AV) connector.
Rounding out the features of the Archos Jukebox Multimedia 20 is the capability to use its 20 GB storage capacity as an external hard disk drive using the included USB 1.1 connection. The optional USB 2.0 or FireWire auto connection ensures extra-fast data transfer to and from your PC or Mac.
The optional camera attachment turns the Jukebox Multimedia 20 into a 1.3-megapixel digital camera that can store up to 200,000 photos, and an MP4 video camcorder (with MP3 sound) that allows you to record up to 40 hours of full-motion video. It's easy to view videos and photos either on the built-in color LCD screen (237 x 234 pixels), or by using the included AV connector on any TV with composite-video inputs.

Zen vs Archos vs Net MD vs IPod. Zen Wins!
I have tried out almost every conceivable large capicity MP3 player out. Hands down, for price, value, look, and durability, the Nomad Zen has it.Here's my breakdown.Nomdad ZenLooks nice and from an American company, Creative Labs. Its easy to use interface, great sound, slightly smaller than the archos and a bit bigger than the Ipod.Built in battery but dies after 2 years or so. No problem, according to the Creative Labs website. They'll replace it at no charge when it dies. And yes it has shuffle...

Great for what it is supposed to do!
============================================================I know you know what it can do so here are some downsides of the product:1. Battery Life - LCD takes up lots of it, probably get 4-6 hours unless you keep it off the whole time and let ur MP3's play. I recommend that you set the screen to go blank as soon as it will let you set it to save battery energy. This is the only real reason why I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5.2. Great Product !!!! Perfect !
I brought this product from bestbuy outlet with everything include the camera, for lke 100 less then amazon sell, don't buy from amazon, it cost too much here, I do respect most amazon product are cheap compare to most but not this one, product overall is great !, music and pictureis good and ez just drag in, but video boy, take a wonder to convert those to the play to work, the free software is useless for convert go get avs video conerter, that work best and remaind much its origial size. camera...

the most bang for your buck
I got this bad boy for Christmas and it is by far my favorite computer peripheral device. Do yourself a favor if you get one of these and add a firewire or usb 2.0 card to your computer. If you don't and you have a lot of data to transfer, be prepared to wait awhile...the 12 mb/s of usb 1.1 is SLOOOOW.The sound quality is awesome with this device, and the video output of properly encoded material is outstanding. Screen Stopped Functioning after 10 months
Did even last a year. The screen stopped functioning after 10 months. It goes all white. I carried it around with me all over the place. I rode my bike with it and jogged with it but was always careful to keep if from getting bumped hard.The Hard disk is fine ... it just the screen is "burning out" or something. I am going to try to get if fixed but it sounds like dealing with Archos support/tech is a royal pain.This is a big disapointment to me.I have transfered a lot of songs to the darn thing...
