Good for the motorcycle

I bought the E2cs and they were not too good. These are very good and fit very nicely under my motorcycle helmet.Makes those 1,000 mile days much more enjoyable. Also very nice for airplane trips....

Shure E3cs- Nice midrange and highs, but not much BASS. And no, 'accuracy' doesn't cover it.

Hi there, I'm an audiophile from WAY back, aka the '80s, when I used to cue up my Linn Sondek turntable (which made well-recorded vinyl sound better than CDs, believe it or not. And not just a little better either). Nowadays, of course, we're in the digital music age, for better or worse. Better, convenience-wise anyway.I'm an iPod owner, and to my suprise, I found the stock iPod headphones to be pretty decent. Still, being an audiophile, it was inevitable that I'd look around for something better...

After tweaking... Perfect for me

After reading the reviews, I decided to give the Sure E3C a chance. I was comparing with models from Shure, Sony & B&O. What sold me on Shure was the Fit Kit that allows you to get as good of a fit as possible. If you've owned many in-ear models, you know how awful it is if the fit is wrong. If it doesn't seal in your ear, you get no bass. If it is too tight it sounds like you are listening to a boombox in a dumpster. I tried many of the fits and ended up preferring the foam that you pinch and insert...

A layman's review

I have several pairs of headphones: Sennheiser PX-100 (on-ear phones, great value), Sony MDR-V6 (over ear phones, good value). The E3c phones I just got I would say sound good, but not as bright or crisp at the Sennheiser PX-100, which are 1/4 the price. They do block out external noise very well, but you have to get used to them stuck firmly in your ear canals. They are good, accurate sound reproduction, but at $180 are about $90 overpriced in my opinion.Expect adequate, but not great, bass.I think...

Some of most frustrating headphones you'll ever have the pleasure to use.

The title may be a little misleading.Up until now, I've been a bit of a Sennheiser fanboy and stuck with the Sennheiser MX series (400, 500, and 550s).They're very cheap [...] and offer amazing sound quality, especially for the price.I've grown to become something of a minor audiophile over the years (Friends give me a lot of crap when I mention the price of my Sennheiser HD600s).I've had a lot of difficulty with the Sennheiser MX headphones in terms of reliability and I've been having to buy a...
