There are better wrist rests
The seam came apart and the gel leaked out in the first 6 months. The non-skid, underside surface has a peculiar and distinctly unpleasant smell....

You can't type without one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You have to buy one. It has high durability and will last you a life time. the gel actually forms around your wrist!!!!!! So if you have to type for hours, or just minutes, then buy one, you will thank me! It is so comfortable!...

poorly manufactured
In my experience, it was comfortable (good texture, soft padding) but quickly fell apart on me -- a tear was worn in the plastic seam and the gel leaked....

Durable, comfortable. A sigh of relief for my wrists.
I spend the majority of every day on a computer at school. I purchased this wrist rest several months ago after a carpal tunnel flare-up (due to lack of support at the keyboard and mouse) left me in wrist braces for two months. This wrist support is exactly what I was looking for. The backing grips the desk well, so it doesn't slide around when I'm working. It's a very cushy gel -- it makes my wrists feel like they're floating. And, there are as yet no signs of wear and tear anywhere on the product...
