Most compatible DVD-R!

I have the new iMac flat screen with DVD burner and was getting really frustrated with the unreliability of the DVD's I was burning. I tried Apple brand, Memorex, and several others with ok to poor results. Frames skipped, sound problems occured, or the DVD would just not play at all in some machines.
