Its hit or miss when you get these

I had a batch of these with media ID: Ritek D01, and the discs are pure garbage. When you do a quality scan of the scan, the errors on the second layer are crazy.Even though the disc played fine in my dvd player, I honestly expect data integrity loss within a year, theyre that bad.I also got a batch with media ID: RichoJPN D00, which are much better quality than the previous discs i mentioned, but still not amazing.The quality of 2nd layer burns are much better than the previous especially.For the...

Very low quality. Beware!

Purchased this item in May. I'm updating this review in September. Here's the life story of all 5 DL disks from this package:Disk #1: Massive CRC errors immediately after burn. Coaster.Disk #2: Massive CRC errors immediately after burn. Coaster.Disk #3: Tried to read it in June. Half of it read OK, half (2nd layer I assume) did not. Good burns, but player compatibility isn't the greatest

I bought 10 of these Ridata DL and each one burned fine on all of my drives (a wide assortment of name brand drives). But the finished discs did not work very well on quite a few of my standalone DVD players. Some players handled them fine, some would only read the 1st layer and freeze while trying to switch to the 2nd, and some didn't even recognize the discs at all. I've never had a problem with any Verbatim DL discs before, they've always burned well and played perfectly on every single player...

I'm using Roxio 7 with a NEC burner and have no problems playing these disks in my PC or Home theater system.These disks are great for the price....

Works great with Nero and a Philips burner..

I've used 5 of these Ridata DL discs to store home movies and have had no problems.I use Nero Burning ROM version 6.6.0.8 along with a Philips DVD8631 burner and have always burned at the slow 2.4X speed.The resulting discs play fine in both DVD players in my home theater and on my PC....
