Product Description
The AM/FM digital tuner has a 20-station memory (10 AM and 10 FM) and provides clear reception in city or rural surroundings. Auto-reverse playback is a great touch for those who may be too busy working out to bother with buttons. XBS (extra bass system) is available as well.
A single AA battery will power the RQSW44V for up to 25 hours, and this model comes with four batteries included. Added attractions are the large LCD display and a lap function that beeps at regular intervals when the tape or radio is playing. Shockwave lightweight headphones and a detachable belt clip are included.

Two strikes and you're out!
The first problem I had with the product was the earphone plug.When it rotates in the plug hole the radio signal breaks up or completely disappears.Returned that one and got another one.......Well, on the second one I attempted to preset a radio station.To do this you need to press the "hold" button. I follow the instructions and the "hold" button got stuck. Couldn't get the radio to switch off or change stations because the "hold" was broken.I removed the battery for more than 30 seconds.Guess...

My Advice? Buy This Player!
I recently reviewed the Panasonic RQ-SX67V. I was very disappointed with that cassette player! This one, however, which I found at the going out of business sale of Service Merchandise, is really very good and what I was looking for.Play a cassette, shake it hard, and not one skipped beat!I'm very pleased!The price listed on Amazon is what I paid at the sale, which I think is a good price.......

My wife loves it!
I gave this model to my wife as a replacement for her Sony player . She likes it better, and is completely satisfied with it. It is amazing that it runs on only one AA cell, and lasts as long as it does. The sound is very good, and the only downfall is, the head-set gets uncomfortable after awhile....

A very durable walkman, but mediocre overall.
I have owned one for four months. I have mixed feelingabout it. It is a very durable walkman. I accidentally dropped it twice on concrete and there was no damage. Everythingworked fine on the walkman. My battery and cassette did not fly out upon impact. I am rough on my walkmans, which iswhy I brought this Panasonic. The battery compartment is inside the cassette compartment, which prevents the batteryfrom coming out upon impact. The cassette lid locks securely. The FM reception switch works well...

adequate, but not great
I ordered this unit to replace a Sony walkman that died after about 4 years (a relatively long life for a walkman, in my experience). For the money, I can't really complain. The sound quality is quite good; nevertheless, the bass boost is inferior to the Sony's, the controls are harder to use when the unit is "belt clipped" to my waistband, and the earphones are not as comfortable. The lack of an auto-stop feature is also disappointing.On the flip side, the earphones stay in place much better than...
