Excellent.

What can i say ? When it comes to any type of MEDIA magentic/optical, TDK is the best. I still have some of their audio tapes that are more than 20 years old and they still work great. If its a TDK, i will close my eyes and buy it.

TDK makes great tapes, but this tape really does not define them. There was no problem with them, but it is not impressive. It is no where near the BETTER TDK tapes and JVC tapes.

The Best Blank Tape Around

I am a collector of TV shows.I have 30+ tapes filled with TV shows that I recorded.I've recorded on several different brands, including Panasonic, Sony, and Maxell. The Panasonic tapes played back terribly.Sony gave me a little trouble but not much.Maxell gave me no trouble, but they're hard to find in my area.So TDK is my choice. It has never given me trouble, it is readily available, I can tape in EP with almost no quality loss.A note to other collectors and/or fans of TV, if you ever want to tape a TV program, TDK tapes will never let you down.

Guys...TDK Revue tapes ARE the standard grade ones
-
Those who are said they got the wrong tapes need to do a little more research.JR didn't send you the wrong tapes...Revue tapes are standard grade tapes.
What is misleading is that TDK markets them with the term "premium quality", but they are still standard grade tapes.
The tapes (in order of increasing quality) are:
Revue - "Standard Grade"
HS - "High Standard" grade
Vivid - "High Grade"
EHG - "Extra High Grade"
...and they go up from there.
I'm not supposed to post a url, so do a google search for TDK's website using the following search criteria "tdk recmedia vhs" and you will get detailed information regarding these tapes.3/25/2004 12:00 AM | Rating:

I got the wrong tape, too

Dear Ma'ams and Sirs,
J&R sent me Standard grade tapes, which I can purchase anywhere.I wanted / ordered Premium grade, which is more impossible to find in my neck of the woods.
The invoice that came with the Standard tapes is from J&R, so I came really close to emailing J&R directly regarding their screw up.However, since Amazon's never done me wrong, and since I ordered the tapes on the Amazon website, I decided to email my problem to Amazon, instead.Let them fight with J&R.
Clues about J&R's problem with this item:
The title on the Amazon webpage says "Premimum," instead of "Premium."Maybe a contributing factor?I just submitted a Page Correction, which is a form available on the bottom of the item's webpage.
Interestingly, because of that typographical error, an Amazon-search for "TDK 160 Premium" does not return any item.
The J&R invoice that came with my shipment of Standard tapes lists the description of the item as "TDK 160 Minute VHS P."Apparently, the lonely "P" is insufficient to flag the Stock Room personnel that the order is for "Premium" grade tapes. Also, since I'm not the first person stating this problem in this feedback section, it suggests that some clueless stock-person at J&R is shipping a lot of Standard tapes by mistake, and the Premiums are sitting on their shelves collecting dust.
This error being made continually by J&R's stockroom must be eliminating any profits they would otherwise be enjoying for this item.
Otherwise, J&R has a fine reputation.
Certainly, by the time you read this feedback, the problem will have been solved.Right?
Best luck,
