Product Description
Creative Labs' HN-505 over-ear headphones employ active noise-canceling circuitry to significantly reduce solid-state environmental noise, such as that on an airplane, to further your uninterrupted listening. Noise reduction is rated at 15 dB of attenuation at 300 Hz, which will bring welcome clarity to voices and most instruments.
Designed with mobility in mind, the headphones are constructed using lightweight material, a foldable headband, and cushioned ear-pads for comfort during extended listening.
The headphones' 30 mm rare-earth magnet transducers deliver rich, full-boded sound, and the frequency response extends across the near limits of human hearing, from 20 to 17,000 Hz (no range stated). High, 121 dB sensitivity means even an airplane's headphone jack will drive them nicely, and a supplied 3.5 mm dual-plug airplane adapter makes that possibility an even greater likelihood.

Excellent headphones for travelers
I bought these headphones to use with my Zen Nano Plus MP3 player. I mostly use them on trips and they are great.They fold up and come with a nice storage bag that also keeps me from losing the Zen Nano. I am not a sound technician but the sound is excellent as far as I am concerned....

Headphones good for the price
I'm an not an audiophile guy nor have I ever bought a pair of noise-canceling headphones.I was a bit skecptial when I bought these headphones becuase of the price.I used them on a flight to Europe and they worked great.I was able to listen to my music and the movie the whole time without hearing the the airplane noise.When I turned off the Noise-Canceling I noticed a big difference.They also work great in the office.I used to have a loud coworker and now I can't hear them anymore.The headphones...

Good for the price
I used the Bose once before and these seem to do a comparable job for a fraction of the price.I think those who say that there is no noise cancellation, just white noise are wrong.I thought the same thing as well when I first put them on.I was in a quiet room without any ambient noise.However once I got into a room with a lot of ambient noise (like a server room), the difference was easy to hear.Dunno how long they are going to last or how they compare to the Bose, but for about $20, I'm not complaining...

I Love It
I got it thrown in for free when I purchased my MP3 player.Without the noise cancellation turned on, I needed to increase the volume to almost double.But I could still listen to songs just fine after that.The noise cancellation feature is of course awesome.With it turned on, I'm like completely zoned out from the rest of the world - free from any distracting noises.I also find the soft cushionny 'ear muffs' very comfortable and even after using it for hours, my ears were a-ok and not at all sore...

Not bad considering the price.
If you are into highend stuff, stay away.But for the occasional listener, and semi frequent flyer like me, they are a bargain.Noise cancelling works fine.Not the most durable construction.The power switch always seems to get bumped into the "on" position while not in use so I am constantly replacing the battery.Would be nice if they came in a hard case instead of the cheap fake leather bag...but for the price, I guess you can't expect too much.Overall, a decent set of noise cancelling head phones...
