Bose gets unfair reviews

Many people think that just because it's Bose it's crap.It's not true, in fact, all headphones are good based merely on subjectivity.However, I own these cans, and I think they sound great.They are fragile, but with a small amount of vinyl tape I have kept them together. I don't know if it was worth $150, but they're the best headphones I've ever worn, not to mention the most comfortable.Senn/Grado doesn't get as much marketing, but I would say that the Senn PX100 are comparable to these (but too...

Super sound from TriPort

I purchased the Triport headset with CD player.The sound is absolutely unbelievable.I compared it with an inexpensive headset that came with another CD player.Really no comparison.Then I tried a Digital headset.Still relatively terrible.The TriPort is great.Sound is better than at any concert and most sterio systems....

OK, but overpriced.

I evaluated these in a direct comparison to Sony MDR-V600s, and I decided that these are overpriced.The V600s are less money, and the sound quality is better (in my opinion).One good thing about the Bose TriPort is: they are really comfortable.Not more comfortable than the V600s, but one of the only pairs I tried that fit me as well as the V600s.The sound quality on these is good for bass-hounds, bad for people who want flat audio reproduction.The manufacturing quality is poor.They really do seem...

Great sound, some suggestions for durability

Like most people here, I found the Bose Triport headphones to have excellent sound but the plastic on mine also broke in the recess next to the earcups.What I found is that this is caused by the tension of the headband frame pushing into the plastic.In fact, the plastic broke from just sitting in my drawer for a week with the headband fully extended.My recommendation is to store these headphones with the earcups fully retracted, to reduce the tension of the headband frame on that piece of plastic...
